Narrative :- I obtained a bank of america credit card more than XXXX years ago. I have never used this card. I have been billed monthly for the BofA Privacy Assist service for between {$9.00} and {$12.00} for many years. I have not been able to cancel this service. I have repeatedly contacted Bank of America to cancel Privacy Assist. The call center can not cancel the service. WHen the call center attempts to transfer my call to Privacy Assist the call disconnects. When I call Privacy Assist, the phone rings for approximately XXXX minutes and disconnects. It appears that Privacy Assist may no longer exist. My BofA account ends in XXXX My social security number is XXXX Research reveals that BofA and Privacy Assist were subject to a CFPB XXXX XXXX and placed under a consent order. |
